She grew up with a host family like her sibling Karla Martinez, who hosts the Univision show Despierta America (1997)). She was raised around TV hosts, such as her sister, Karla Martinez. Andrew Martinez is vice president of Safety Security and Business Resiliency at Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the largest electric utilities in the United States. SCE has made worker safety and security for the company a top priority. Martinez is the head of programs and initiatives specifically focused on these specific areas. Martinez was the director of Safety Training and Compliance in Transmission & Distribution for SCE before assuming his current role. In the past, Martinez served as head for Safety and Compliance for Power Supply and Operational Services. In his 30-year career at SCE, he was in different leadership positions, among them the ones at the SCE's San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station SONGS.
